Is taking up all my resources as figured it would.!!! Laughing More importantly than ever I need to sell the Rangey..............I Think!!! Shocked The most important reason being the sheer number of mile I am going to be doing in the forthcoming months.too and from the South coast. its a 350 mile round trip, and despite being the most comfy mile eater Ive ever driven....................the Rangey is also gonna do far too many miles to hold any value.

Second reason, I am going to end up carrying all sorts of damp, dirty salty stuff back at the weekend too, and I dont want to Censored the interior of the Sport.

I seriously think I need a disco, earlier year, cheaper, not so bothered about loosing a tonne of cash on despite being a good car to commute back and forth in.

Anyone fancy a mint TD-V-8 in black with every box ticked, give me a bell, or PM me.

Boats are the biz, thats for sure! Very Happy

What a decision.... there's still enough of a wait at the dealer to ensure TDV8 resale is very good. There are some second handers going for 55k on Auto Trader... I don't think you need worry about losing much money if you're selling now. I bet you'll be gutted to see it go Sad

Seriously chap............I'll be gutted indeed, it seriously is the best car Ive ever ownde. Just righht now I'll kill it with high mileage! If I got a 2 year old disco, it'll save me a fortune in depreciation, and re-payments, and I wont be nearly so bothered about throwing crap in the back of it like I am with the Rangey!

Christ we parked itn on the beech at Hayling Island, and had a lovely barby after a day out on the boat, its the bollo% sat there in the sun set, but I didnt even want the doors left open so it didnt stink of Barby smoke. Its just too good for my needs now we have ventured into a boating holiday nearly every weekend, thats just 350 miles return trip from home!

I will indeed be gutted. What would an 05 - 06 disco be worth??

Or maybe a late old model Freelander??? Censored compared to the Sport I know, but hell good enough for driving upa and down the M.1, M25. and A-3 most weekends.

Jas. What about a similar year old shape X-5???

Just looking at the 'trader....

2006 D3 HSE ~ 30k?
2006 Freelander 1 ~ 20k?
2006 X5 3.0d ~ 30k?

You could pick up a recent FL2 for 25k-ish....

Yeah, I’m in a similar situation.

Wifey has got a FL2 now, which is going to be used as our weekend transport from now on, as I’m just as happy to sit back & be driven these days.

So I find that the “Sport” is now too good for my own solo driving duities, which consists pretty much these days of trailer towing & filing the back with tools & various other gubbins. None of which works particularly well with an Alppaca interior.

Like you Vankerman I’m finding myself “protecting” the sport & could see exactly why you wouldn’t want to risk Barbie smoke getting in Shocked

I’m really struggling with the decision as to whether to try & work with the Sport or go back to a D3 again. I love the Sport, best car I ever had, but I could just be happy with the fact that I've had one for a year now, move on & get something a bit more utilitarian which would suit my needs better now.

So I’m glad to see I’m not alone in this, it’s a horrible decision to have to make Sad Confused

PS. Fab looking boat there Vankerman Thumbs Up Cool

Firstly The two best days of boat ownership are the day you buy it and the day you sell it !!

Boat stands for 'Bring Over Another Thousand'

Swore I would not buy another after selling the last one ...............................however I am starting to rethink it ! Nice looking boat buy the way, I'm sure youll have a great time.

I had the same concerns so bought a cheap vauxhall van. Best decision I made. Van does about 40mpg, can throw everything in the back, leave tools in there, insurance £190 a year, dont mind the odd bump or scratch and best of all keep the RRS looking good. I did think about selling the Sport for at least 2 nanoseconds before coming to my senses Thumbs Up MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Mmmm I know what you mean, but with the arrival of the FL2 I'm struggling to justify having them both. Thinking that I should downgrade to a more work friendly vehicle.

It's quite the pickle Confused
