Vankerman you could of course go for a new Defender - superb engine, available as a 4 seater or as a 110 with 5 seats and a van rear as well (sort of 110 hard top with rear seats too) and it would make a very civilised car for travelling the motorways with the new 2.4 Transit engine and would probably pull your boat on it's trailer as well! 90's start from £21k for a base van new to £27000 for a 90 SW XS with all the options boxes ticked, and waht fun you would be able to have greenlaning it too

Oh and I'm sure any dealer would be delighted to take your TDv8 in as a part exchange too 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
