1000 miles in the first week will be fine - dont worry if you can find the time - I can always pop over and add a few for you |

My guess is that the engine management will limit the output in any case for the first miles, my D2 certainly did both when new and when the engine management was reset at 40k miles. Giveaway was the code hadn´t been written to limit the power available to the cruise control, hitting resume clearly had access to much more go than simply flooring the throttle. From memory it stepped up performance at around 1000 and again at aroun d 3500 miles. This probably explains why dealer demonstraters went well but buyers were initially disappointed.... Certainly the effect was as obvious with our ´07MY TDV6 but I bet its still there, many drivers comment that the engine loosens with miles, could partially be the ECU allowing more go as the miles build up.... As the RRS is an auto you are limited about not labouring in gear etc so as long as you don´t cane it I wouldn´t worry. I bought a demo, so I know mine has been carefully and respectfully run in... Probably explains why most of the driveline has been replaced under warranty... RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof |

Its not that i dont trust Kaine, but i dont want him to have the same dilema as i did after driving the V8, you WANT ONE, so i was just doing what any mate would do,saving him some money
thats why i wouldnt buy a demo, they have been driven by people like me

Yeah, supposedly running-in isn't so important these days. Mind you, it's a braver man than me that doesn't bother.

I suppose as long as the engine is covered under warranty then it doesnt really matter, or does it, i will only be keeping the car for a couple of years, so should i worry about it some of my Previous cars
