Low coolant level..

Hi Guys.
Drove to watford yesterday and managed a very good run, no traffic hardly at all. Cruised most the way and when i let her go i occassionally got a message saying Low coolant level, then it dissapearing leaving a little i on the display.. But then it turns off and pops back every now and then.

When driving on the roads as normal this morning, no message appears..
Will top this up though asap, but need to find out what this is first?
Engine wasn't heating up or running oddly yesterday, in fact it was running very smoothly.. Odd..

I believe this can be the specific gravity of the coolant or the header tank. Look on the other site and search it is a well known issue.

Coolant level issue

Hi there Kam,

Same here, I got the low coolant error message yesterday once and topped her off last night and it showed again just a few minutes ago when I got to work. Hmmm, I didn't have a chance to check the level again but I will check it again later. Sad

Please let us know what you find out. I will do the same.

The float becomes porous and absorbs water. It may be intermittent to start with as it is still mostly floating. It will probably get worse unless it is an actual water level issue leaking elsewhere. Bodsys Brake Bible
