TDV8 Insurance/Finance

New to RRSPORT - well done on the site, great job with lots of very helpfull information.

My new TDV8 arrives next week at the dealer so sorting out finance/insurance.

On insurance, Privilege (my current insurer) require a tracker - so I'm looking at other people who don't require a tracker and the best quotes I'm getting are around 450-500. Does this sound about right? Anyone paying much less than this on a TDV8 without tracker?

On finance - looking at the dealers PCP quote. They are giving a future guaranteed value of £25.5k after 3 years/27,000 miles. Sounds low but these tend to be conservative to avoid risk to the dealer. APR is also high at 10.9%. Anyone found a reputable 3rd party finance company that provides PCP finance via a dealer sourced vehicle?

thanks

I had the same insurance deal with Privillege...... went to NFU (National Farmers Union). £600ish no tracker needed, covers you off road (Priv dont) and gives you brand new car if yours is written off for the first 2 years and not 1 like most.

Yes goto Kam, I was going through LR... but Kam beat it, by alot Bow down Bow down

exalld,

Kam sorted my finance out - I know the dealer options sound the easy option, however Kam will handle everything making it extremely hassle free - it is the only way to go

Congrats on the new car btw

£388

I pay £388 for a 1990 RR Vogue TD and £450 for a 2001 Disco TD5 ES with the NFU (National Farmers Union). Any driver above 17 and full no claims etc.

I rang around various and some were a bit cheaper but I have dealt with the NFU for over 15 years now and they always are fair.
