2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Paul I hope they put a few more lashings on it for the ocean passage - it will be a wreck if they have just left it in the container like that for a winter passage across the Atlantic, especially if it gets on deck stowage as is normal for
containers holding cars. Hope you have fun with it when it arrives. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim,
The car is well strapped down. It isn't going anywhere. Having said that, it's well insured, so it wouldn't be the end of the world.
The boat is due in to Feliwstowe on the 19th Jan. all being well.
I've been working on this for about 8 years, so excited doesn't even come close.

Very nice Paul! Thumbs Up I am probably showing myself up to be a complete luddite when it comes to classics, but is it an original or replica?

I wish it were original, but I would need to be looking the far side of £1M for an original 427 S/C.

It is however an exact replica and not a Kit Car. As you can see, the body is alloy and not GRP. Everything on the car would fit directly onto an original, including all the suspension. The engine and gearbox however, are original items. it is a 7 litre V8 developing around 520bhp with 4" open sidepipes which gives it a slightly higher power to weight ratio than a Bugatti Veyron. Twisted Evil

Can't wait Very Happy

Mmmm..... Bow down Thumbs Up Bow down Thumbs Up Bow down Thumbs Up

Thanks for explanation, Paul! Very Happy

Not sure if the story is apocryphal or not, but wasn't it the case that when Carroll Shelby originally took prospective owners out for test drives he would stick a hundred dollar bill on the inside of the windscreen and if the passenger could catch it when he accelerated they could keep it?
