Shmoogle,
It is indeed a true story and I don't believe he ever had to hand one over.

Jay,
I could have specified it in right hand drive, but all of the original 427's were left hookers and it seemed a shame to spoil the originality given that everything else is so right.

Thank you flydive.

If you seriously want a Vincent, I strongly suggest you move on one as soon as possible, the prices are going through the roof. Total wreaks are fetching close to £20,000 at the moment and a Black Shadow in any sort of reasonable condition will be comfortably over £30,000. A White Shadow, which is just a Black Shadow without the painted engine sold for £81,000 last summer.

Mine is a Comet that I originally owned twenty plus years ago when I was in my late teens. I restored if from a basket case and then sold it when it was finished to fund my first marriage. I tracked it down again just over a year ago and bought it back again. I rebuilt it again over last summer and it now looks like this:

I've got my eye on a Black Shadow, but it is in a very sorry state and the current owner doesn't yet want to sell it. If you're looking for a Vincent, the best thing to do is join the owners club.
I used to have a very early CCM many moons ago, which is basically a B50 with a few go faster bits Smile It was good fun, but it used to scare me to death. It used to try to break my leg every time I tried to start it Laughing

Hi Kam,
There is a tracking website for the ship:

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shipposition.phtml?call=KRPD

..but it appears to be a couple of days behind. The ship left Houston in Texas yesterday so I assume the map is showing it on the way into Houston.

I finally got the TDV8 sorted, but there were a few hiccups along the way Confused

Cheers,

Yes, don't tell me about starting the B50.......some sort of incompatibility between us Laughing some pretty nasty kicks back.
Well yes prices are going up strongly, I saw a Black Shadow around here but it seems the owner is not willing to sell. And then in reality I have enough toys at the moment (not really, toys are never enough Wink ) with a new bike coming soon.

But well we'll see....... '08 RRS TDV8

You can never have too many toys. Very Happy
My next project is more long term, but it is a totally accurate recreation of a GT40, which should be pretty cool Thumbs Up

What's the new bike you're expecting.

A 1950'Condor 580, Swiss military motorcycle, made in Switzerland. Not fast or exciting but rugged and has history, and I like it. Hey it even has high/low range gearing.......
