Sport.Stormer, welcome to the forum and panic not - sounds like it is the Fuel Burning Heater exhaust, come out under the front LHS - when the air temperature drops below 5C then a Fuel Burning Heater automatically cuts in to aid engine warm up and reduce emissions. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes, there is a DIESEL powered heater in the front Right hand corner of the engine bay, just behind the headlight and the reservoirs - if you open the bonnet and have a look you will see it plainly. It cuts in automatically below +5C 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I just wonder, today I had really a lot of smoke again. People around me in the city asked, if something is wrong with the car. It can't be the case, that you have a luxury and stylish range rover and it smokes during wintertime so bad??

You didn't believe us??? Land Rover dealers must dread the first cold snap when new owners (who maybe didn't read that section of the owners manual ) phone in great numbers to ask why their pride and joy appears to be on fire - I'll admit that the 1st time I experienced it on my Freelander TD4 I was straight on the phone to the dealer as well - that was 7 years ago now. Been there, got the T shirt! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |
