2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Wish List for 2009MY

So what would you like to see added/ removed from the RRS spec lists for 2009:
I'll start it off

1) Full mp3/4 player integration with the audio system - display and selection of tracks/playlists from screen
2) For those chilly mornings the option of a heated steering wheel - FFRR has it why can't we?
3) Full sized spare wheels for all - for an off road capable vehicle it is crazy having a space saver if you get a flat out in the wilds, the ground clearance is severely reduced.
4) Some better designs of alloys more suited to offroad use that won't get scuffed at the first sign of long grass - the alloys need to be more deeply dished like those on Defenders

OK to save the researchers at Land Rover from having to do too much extra reading I've edited in the suggestions from other posts in this thread

5) Ability to have traffic camera alerts on the SatNav screen
6) Hard Disk Drive satnav
7) Leather piping on the seats
8 ) Timer and/or remote operation of the Fuel Burning Heater.
9) Direct access to all the hight settings.
10)remote unlocking and full automatic opening/closing of tailgate (ie fully motorised tailgate not just the first/last 0.5")
11) More user friendly Bluetooth PTi
12) One touch open/close on all the window's and open/close from the key fob as well
13) Some more cheerful colours - a more brilliant "kingfisher" blue, a bright "ferrari" type solid red
14) Some REAL wood as an option and not the crappy wood-a-like foil we have now (the wood-a-like on my new car has razor sharp edges on it that really gives the game away, and has led to some blood stains on the carpet when I was cleaning the inside!) - this is supposed to be a "quality" car and it just doesn't cut it compared to the big RR.
15)Passenger seat full electric adjustment
16) Remove the 'agree' button on touch screen on each start up - we are adults and don't need a nanny!
17) Fully switchable change over of dipping for overseas driving like BMW's and other "quality" SUV's have
18 ) Reversing camera linked to Satnav screen as a dealer fit option.
19) A "real" subwoofer.
20) More accurate parking sensors with some sort of visual aid / graphic display.
21) Some proper light over the back seats when you open a door!
22) The boot/trunk could use some extra light, too.
23) Remove the on-the-move satnav restriction for Americans.
24) Complimentary spinach can in the back seat for lifting or lowering rear headrests. Alternatively, redesigned
headrests that move up and down without superhuman strenght.
25) Wireless headsets for RSE equipped cars.
26) One unswitched 12v receptacle, just one (this may be a USA specific request as I have 1 in the TDV8's
boot!)
27) A digital inclinometer on the 4x4 display, near the compass.
2Cool Outside temperature indication when in offroad, access mode and when using the Adaptive Cruise Control
29) A sturdier bottle jack instead of that teeny weeny scissors jack.
30) Make the satnav guidance volume fixed and not variable according to radio volume / source, like PTI.
31) Option to mute satnav voice automatically when on a PTI call.
32) Optional Maintenance contract like some overseas markets have and LR used to offer on the L322 Range
Rover as the VIP pack
33) Proper retactable cargo net.
34) Tow bar that appears electrically at the push of a button
35) A more substantial solution to the stupid flap that covers the towing electrics.
36) More padding/springing in rear seats.
37) Painted door handles.
3Cool Heavy duty sill protection
39) Grab handles on the vertical front window pillars.
40) Semi-Split tailgate of the FFRR.
41) Some decent chromed tailpipes on the TDv8
Wow this is getting to be a big list for a car that we thought was almost perfect Mr. Green
Are there no annoying things that folks want to have deleted??
I can think of one useless option recently added to the spec that I can see no use for at all - electric steering column adjustment (only because I don't share my car with any other drivers..................)

Wouldn't it be nice if somebody from Customer Services or even the Manager of Product Marketing for the RRSport could come back to us and tell us why/why not LR won't do these things....................
BMW and Merc have pages and pages of what appear to be useless options on their vehicle specs that make them huge amounts of money because when people see them they buy them, even if they don't always need them. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Agree with Tim - a 19 inch offroad wheel as a standard option. Full sized spare. Full ipod integration. Not too worried about the heated steering wheel.

Another option would be the ability to have traffic camera alerts on the Sat Nav. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.
