Spain 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
New member, colleting my RRS this week!

Hi All,

Been browsing this forum for a while but this is my first post. I'll be picking up my RRS this week and to say Im excited would be an understatement.

I promise not to bombard you all with too many questions and search the database for my answers!

Look forward to sharing my experiences with you all!

Oh, and the car is '06 RRS Supercharged, 10k miles (actually, 16,000 kms as im in Spain), Java black with Ivory interior. (Strange though, as its got the 20" V spokes and I prefer the proper stormer ones, why on earth would you choose them over the stormers!)

Welcome Trixman - congrats on your new toy! Thumbs Up

The 20 v-spokes were the default wheel for the SC, with the Stormers a dealer fit accessory at the time.

Spain 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Thanks all!

Already got a host of changes I'd like to make. Makes it all the more difficult being in Spain though, having to ship everything from UK. But, to start:

colour coded door handles
chrome vent slashes, body coloured surround and mesh (saw that in a thread somewhere that i cant find now)
proper stormer alloys (or alternates for same cash, any suggestions?)

Was going to go for a complete chrome effect.. grill, handles, vents... not sure if it'd look a bit too flash though.

Oh, and any way to make it go a bit quicker is always nice, so will look into that!

Too much chrome spoils the car..................................... and there isn't a lot you can do to make it go faster anyway as the speed is limited by the speed/weight rating of the tyres but some folks have had their S/C's upgraded to go faster.
I don't know how tF9 gets round that with the vaious mods he has done to his S/C 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes, careful with too much chrome Wink The mirror caps are quite nice in chrome on a Java car, see MDP's gallery for pics of that.

Watch eBay for Stormer replicas - these will come in heaps cheaper than buying OE Stormers from a dealer and are really no different in terms of quality.

Expensive business making your SC go faster as the usual route is to upgrade the supercharger's pulley, but there are folks who can do it for you - see the sponsors page for starters Thumbs Up

The best way to make your RRS S/C go faster is to buy a Bugatti Veyron...................... then you will know that nobody on the roads except another Veyron owner is going to be faster than you! Mr. Green Mr. Green 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

lol Wink

Its a comprimise car anyway, family commitments and all that! Suppose the standard car will be good, tried it out on Saturday and had a decent pull to it (although seemed to wallow a lot on acceleration, more so than in the corners, must be the dynamic pack thingy).

Common concenscus seems to be the TDV8 is a better allrounder, but as petrol is much cheaper out here (how on earth the UK government can get away with it I'll never know) im not too fussed. Worth it for the sound alone!

Actually forgot to mention the wing mirror caps, those would be chromed too. So thats wing mirrors, that side vent semichrome jobby and colour coded door handles. Exclusive yet just a bit of flash. Iz niccceee.

Thanks for all the responses by the way, you know how to make a guy feel welcome!

Welcome Trixman. Contrary to the info imparted by Cap'n Para Handy above, there is a lot you can do to improve the performance of the S/C. http://www.jeengineering.co.uk/sport_petrol_eng.htm or, if you are an oligarch http://www.hamann-motorsport.de/130.0.html

Best of luck Smile
