All,
The RR Sport I've just bought has the multi height tow bar however I want to remove this - any idea how, is it just a matter of undoing the 2 bolts that are bolting the metal strut to the chassis then I assume using the supplied keys to remove the actual hitch?

I like the idea of having a towbar having only for the odd occasion that I need it, hence I may replace this towbar with the detatchable towbar - anyone want to swap?

Remove it as you stated, take the 2 bolts out of the chassis (you may have trouble re aligning these when they go back in, it may help to loosen the nuts on the outboard side to allow the part inside chassis rail to move a bit.), loosen the nuts and bolts at the bottom end of the struts or remove them completely,and then use key and unlock, pull out and turn the green knob on the part that connects in the receptacle and drop it down, ( watch out though, its heavy).

I've just bought one for my D3, if you want to tow and use a bike rack you need the multi height bar. I can sell you a swan neck bar though!

Once I get the tow bar off how much should I expect to sell it for on ebay do you think?
Also, I've the dog guard thingy in the boot that I will probably also sell - how much do you think for that?

The removal is easy, just make sure you have the key. It is 2 bolts and the locking mechanism in the reciever. I paid over £200 for mine new, they don't come up very often. I'd try posting on the D3 site first.
