2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

You will like the TDV8 for it's effortless power delivery and performance almost as good as the S/C RRS, whether it is worth £6000 more is debatable, but is a superb engine.
The TDv6 is merely adequate compared to a TDv8, but is isn't a slug nor is it a rough noisey engine, it is smooth and quiet and you can always add a tuning chip if you want more umph and that is a lot less than buying a TDv8!
Are you prepared to give up the extra 3-4mpg of the V6 to gain the performance of the TDv8 is basically what it mounts up to, and with that small an mpg difference between the two it will take an awful lot of miles to recover the extra cost of the V8.

I would say that it all comes down to how quickly you want an RRS, whichever the dealer can get his hands on soonest is the one to go for because they are both good engines in a great car 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

If you have never driven a TDV8 buy the TDV6 if that is what you think you will be happy with. However NEVER test the drive the TDV8 afterwards. In my opinion it is like driving 2 tottaly different cars.

That's a fair point... if you test both the V8 and the V6, you WILL want the V8 it's in a different world. However, that's not to diminish the V6 in anyway, it's perfectly suitable... just not as impressive.

You can get a deal on a TDV8 now, and they're available. I've had both and think the extra money is well spent. I smile every time I drive it, and that's just because of how it sounds. I call it 'the Bomber'.

I drive quite hard and get 23mpg (was 25mpg in the V6), so unless you do NASA mileage then it's neither here nor there.

Go for it, Go V8 Power! TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

Ah, forgot to mention that some of the price difference can be justified in the 20" Wheels, Adaptive Cruise Control and SC Grille which are over and above the V6 spec.

ACC is fab (I guess some of you will disagree?) But tonight I set it to 70 mph in heavy traffic and it kept me a nice safe distance from the car in front and adjusted the speed up and down as low as 30mph, even applying the brakes at one point. Very clever bit of kit! TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

I had a Tdv6 before and was very happy, however, I've been driving my V8 since beginning of July and must say that it is another level in every sense!!

GO V8...

I can't decide which to go for either - the TDV8 or the S/C. I always get my cars from the same place (Innovation Cars) and they've been brilliant. I've tried the Cayenne, but now it's time to change I know I want the RRS. The Innovatiuon guys reckon the S/C in a pice they did recently at http://innovationcars.com/blog/range-rover...evisited/, but I can't decide. Help! Opinions please.
