Mostly a fair article I think.... it's the usual old story. It depends what you want from your RRS and how often you'll be using it. The SC is the most "thrilling", but it's downsides are 12mpg and serious depreciation compared with the diesels.

I'd say if you were set on a SC, that a second-hand one would be a good buy... let someone else take the initial hit.

I've toyed with the TDV8 because I wondered if its extra torque would make it feel as quick around town. But after the Cayenne I don't know if I'd be able to live with its overall performance. |

Yes. There is a V6. They are all just as ugly though. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps. |

No, thre isn't! Just put the V8 bit in in case you weren't familiar with the Cayenne models. And because Porsche tend to refer to the V6 has having the Tiptronic S. Lots of Ss, but the point for me is that the V8 Cayenne has performance in the same region as the RRS S/C. |

It is... you won't get away from the lights in the TDV8 as quickly as in the Cayenne S (neither will it sound as nice, imho) but motorway overtaking I suspect might leave the Cayenne behind, the petrol engine is way down on torque. 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here? Decisions, decisions! I do agree the Cayenne needs to be revved to get it to perform. I find myself knocking it down a gear or 2 on the tiptronic just to overtake. But it goes well if you hustle it. I think it's going to have to be the S/C. Better make the phone call. |

I have the TDV6 with the Turbo Chip Mod, I took out the TDV8 and apart from the TDV6 geting puffed out at 55 there was very little difference, not worth 6k more i.m.o. Tesla Model Y - 2023
