Yipee, suspected injector problems

Superb. When the weather is cold and the engine is just warming up and coming off "choke", the rpm keeps surging and the car becomes "jerky"

Warm injectors are no problem according to the diagnostics.

So, they have to drain the tank, inspect fuel for contamination and then inspect for contaminant entry into the fuel system (metal, which could have Censored the whole system. Change the fuel filter, refill tank and test whilst cold using the computer.)

Fix could be changing the injector that is not within the manufacturers parameters or the whole lot

Joy. Shocked

Just had a mate go through this, see

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic7965.html?highlight=sediment

Kind of interesting that the fuel filter will filter out anything that this 2 microns or larger, and still stuff gets through that can effect the very fine tolerances of the fuel injectors. Kind of makes you wonder?

Good luck with the diagnosis - I hope that it insn't the injectors as this will be an expensive fix. Just a white TDV8 with a few extras

Warranty. The injector holes are so small that they are laser cut so any crap in them will Censored them. Apparently this is a fault that is know to LR. I have seen the paperwork for all the tests they have to do (I suspect to try and blame it on the fuel, customer, martians or global warming)

warm injectors are a problem - I experience this all the time now and am waiting for a fix/solution from service. They removed and cleaned the tank but the problem has not gone away. Now they are consulting LR to see what to do. Car still drives ok but when revving between 1500 and 2500 it starts to chug like it can't suck in enough fuel RRS TDV6 (gone)
