A friend of mine took delivery of his RRS last week. I noticed today that he can access the phone book of his phone via the Bluetooth connection. Even the caller’s name is shown on the head unit’s display and all he had to do was to establish the Bluetooth connection. Has it been established if the software of older vehicles can be upgraded to include this functionality? There was a previous thread on this question, but I don’t believe it produced an answer? |

I belive that some of the older vehicles use the same system as the BMW, certainly for the FFRR they did, and there is a retro fit unit available for the BMW. I have one fitted to my MG ZT which uses the same unit although with a 4:3 screen I will go and look up the part numbers for you.

The RRS has never used the BMW system, this was for the FFRRs of the time.

Isn't the Brunel trim (from MY08) a lighter silver than the Rhodium? Have you got the black centre stacks? 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here? Then Donate to RRSPORT!! |
