Depends how your right foot copes with "New Toy Syndrome" Laughing

Last time I had done any decent miles in one, I think I averaged 13mpg around town, and 16-17 on the motorway. Driving Miss Daisy though

Hmm , I don't do huge mileage , I actually do very little and the wiife has a diesel 1 series should we go on a long run.
I wouldn't go for lpg . I really don't see the point of buying such a big engine then complaining and then converting it because the cost of fuel . No offence meant by that

If you don't do huge miles, and fuel costs are not an issue, then go for it Cool

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Greetings all,

Not there just yet but looking forward to owning my second RR. =)

First was a new Freelander back in 99 , after 18 months I got car-jacked, not a nice experience, and that was the end of her =(

Now on to why a RRS, 10 years back went through mid life crisis and ended up buying an A4 Cabriolet, loved that car but missis made me sell so we could put deposit on next house.. I sold the car before she found new house and at the time I threatened to buy something really nice with the cash if she didn't find a house...

She found the house... =(

Another A4, One quick Golf, and an A4 Avant later I'm suffering the next life crisis coming up to 50 in 2015, whatever that is, and need a car fix.

Budget sees me decided on a 10,60 plate 3.0 TDV6 plate, Orkney Grey, black leather, privacy glass and looking to acquire in next 4/6 weeks. Presently searching daily on the used approved LR site as reading some of the horror stories on here am little concerned to buy elsewhere for after sales service should problems arise.

This forum and it's members posts have been a valuable help in my quest to date and I thank you all.

Fingers crossed will be a fellow owner soon.

Happy Driving

J

Thanks for the welcome and yes she knows, seems to have developed an irritating “hiss” every time a RRS comes close to us. =)

JK, she’s looking forward to it too.

Thanks James, I’d already noticed a few posts complimenting the service you and the team at HGLR provide. On that basis I was to contact you anyways, but with your invite will be in touch later next week.

Again thanks, I”m pretty much made up on the Spec and personal choice of colour (meant to mention the Stornoway Grey, not Orkney), hopefully something becomes available in weeks to come.

Best

J

I can imagine that being like Censored off a shovel! Ive never drove the v8 rrs but i am happy with the speed i get from my v6. I had a x5 b4 and the rrs is just a better car in everyway IMHO.

Yeah it does have a good bit of kick to it. I have been looking at a few different cars but keep going back to looking at rrs. But just not sure what would be the best engine to get. I would hate to go for a diesel then regret that I didn't go for the supercharge version

The TDV8 isnt slow, especially with a remap on it. 270bhp as standard, 320+ with a remap Cool

The TDV6 is a bit sluggish, and would be disappointing, coming from an Octy vRS

The 4.4 Petrol V8 is a bit disappointing again. Maybe I was expecting a bit much from it, but it done nothing for me Sad

But, for outright giggles, it has to be the 4.2 S/C, or even the 5.0 S/C Mr. Green
