Fellow Newbie

Hi All,

Another new RRS owner on-board now. Got myself a 2008 TDV8 and have to say, so far I'm mightily impressed with the power and economy of such a big motor, especially after coming from an Audi V8! Got lots planned for it over the coming months so will keep you all updated Smile

Scotland 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver

Good morning all!! I've been a proud owner of my 2005 2.7 V6 HSE for a year now, an EGR valve, new drivers door handle (under warranty), re-map and a pile of cleaning products later it's just sailed through its MOT needing not a sausage! Successful worry free years motoring if you ask me, long may it continue!! I've got a bit of a list of niggles to deal with this summer though so I will most likely start popping up on more posts soon!!

First day with my RRS

Just a quick hello to everyone, I picked up my new HSE in Firenze red today after just 4 months in a Dynamic Evoque. I decided to give the Evoque a go after owning first a D3 and then a D4, but my wife never really took to it mainly from its size, but also she missed the V6 diesel engine.
I was worried I was making a rash decision, but as it was the end of a financial period for the dealer, I managed to get a great deal, which softened the blow on the money lost on the Evoque. I now realise the Evoque was a mistake, albeit it a great car, but being used to a larger LR, the RRS is definitely the best decision for my wife and I, what an eye catching vehicle in red.
I am looking forward to using the forum now I'm a proper Range Rover owner.
Very Happy Thumbs Up

Malaysia 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Luxury Sumatra Black

Hello!
The reason I am here is to learn and share with fellow owners of RRS TDV6 to joy of owning one and joy of fixing one. I am very hands on with my Disco 2 Td5 and Defender 300Tdi. I lack knowledge in regards to TDV6 engine for both my disco 3 and RSS.

In advance thank you for all your good advise and information. In advance I apologise if I do happen to offen anyone with my comments. I am a zealot fan of Land Rover and Range Rover. Currently I have 4 units. Discovery 2 Td5, Discovery 3 TDV6, Range Rover Sport TDV6 and Defender 300Tdi.

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
A rash purchase

Hi,

I'm a new owner having rashly purchased a 2007 TDV8 with 33k on the odometer as a trade purchase. All I have done so far is clean the interior (last owner was a smoker), remove the dealer's decal from the rear window and buy a spare wheel anti-theft device. Everything seems fine except for the brake discs which look pretty worn (although the pads have plenty of life in them) and there is a slight knock from the front when driving over poor road surfaces. I've looked at many of the posts here and really have no idea what the problem is bushes, or tie rod ends or stabiliser bar or ball joints so will start by having a read through the TSB's and doing some checks. It drives straight and true with no evident play in the steering and doesn't pull to either side. Brakes are a bit snatchy - is that normal or caused by the worn discs?

Cheers,
Paddi
