Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Ipanema Sand
Air struts L320

While changing the height sensors on my 2010 L320 today (what a right royal pain they are to change... thanks JLR) I noticed a split in the bellows on the drivers side rear strut.
No air is escaping as far as I can tell.. the suspension works fine and no sagging on that corner.
Is there much to worry about or can I wait a while to change them out?

The actual airbag is inside the metal tube and the bellows just stops crap getting to the tube alongside the moving airbag. So long as it's clean in there and you can stop anything getting in (gorilla/duck tape short term fix?), then it should be ok.

You can buy a new boot and you'd need to partially or fully remove the offending strut to change it. Part number appears to be LR015407 or RPM500200. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
