Canada 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Baltic Blue
2010 5.0L SC Ace Pump bypass

Hello community,

I own a 2010 RR SC V8 5.0L and i have my ace pump dead on me . I have found countless of good advice on bypassing the pump but it was always for the 4.2 L .

Is anyone have tried and successfully did the bypass on a V8 SC 5.0 L ?

If yes please guide me on achieving the same result as 3000$ CAD is too much for an ace pump even at 1500$ CAD is very expensive.

Thank you in advance

Proberly because no one has done it, friendly place this if any one could help I'm sure they would have. The 5.0 didn't sell in huge numbers in the UK so not a big pool to gather from. Good luck tho

I can't remember for sure, but for some reason I didn't think the 5.0L naturally aspirated sport ever had the ACE/Dynamic Response system fitted or only as a option if it did, if so you may be able to use the belt etc. of the n/a engine to bypass the pump although l'm not sure what else you may need, but if you could locate a complete 5.0L n/a vehicle in a breakers yard you might get all the parts you may need as I believe the roll bars are a different diameter as well, something like 32mm as opposed to 36mm on the s/c vehicles. No totally sure on any of it though, but only a idea and suggestion.

Looking at some drawings, on the 5.0L N/A engine the pump is replaced by a idler, mounting bracket and uses a different length belt as well.

These numbers may well have been superseded by now though.

Idler LR010689
Mounting Bracket LR012980
Belt LR011345

Cheers
Col
