Just picked up my RRS this week and made some 2000km on it. I couldn’t be happier or more satisfied overall. It’s an amazing car and I’m completely delighted.

shaking is normal if you have Adaptive Headlights and it would be nice to have the rear lights come on with the 'follow me home' setting, but alas they dont nice idea though |

Sorry chaps I dont quite understand what "follow me home" is? I'm assuming its when you switch off the ignition and if you've had the lights on they stay on for a certain period of time?

follow me home is exactly as you described - a kind of courtesy light in case of the adaptive headlights shaking, I'm not sure the technical reason, however I guess its something to do with the fact they are not fixed |

May be the answer is right in front of you.
Maybe they aren't shaking, maybe they are trying to adapt Surely the whole idea of adaptive headlights is that they self adapt or self level continuously. So what everyone thinks is a shake, is actually the lights working perfectly as designed. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Actually, the adaptive headlights do vibrate quite a bit at times on rough or bumpy roads, and not only because they are supposed to do so in my opinion... I don't much notice the vibration - never really did - but because the beam cutoff is so sharp with xenons, the shaking can be quite noticeable and some people here in the US (where AH is standard issue on every Sport) are really bothered by it. Some went as far as saying that to opposing traffic their expensive Sports must look like riced up Honda Civics cum fake HIDs.

i agree with umbertob, i notice that on my crotchrocket as well as the beams have such sharp cutoffs that you are more prone to recognizing it.. 2007 RRS HSE Java/Ebony w/Luxury Package

I suppose they do shake because of the adaptive feature, as they are not completely fixed to the car. I have other cars with xenon, that also auto level, but they don’t shake at all.

I'm afraid you can only program that button one way: One push, headlights on, two pushes, headlights and reverse lights on, three pushes, lights out. |
