Is there any way to decipher what the VIN depicts. Could it provide information on the date of production etc.

Another possibly dumb question - is the big black sticker on the door with the specifications and VIN the production date?

Be careful with the 2nd link you don't want to go giving your VIN away to anyone. I know they can get it easily but it's just a word of caution. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Posted a VIN number of another used RRS for sale, where the dealer has posted their VIn - 2nd link works pretty nicely.

Curious about the sticker on my door - states 08/06 for Date. Below it states some legal jargon with "....Standards in effect on the date of manufacture date shown above above" - assume this is the prodution month and year? However I just noticed that the dealers database differs. It states a different production date on the paperwork for some work I had done.

2nd link is run by a Land Rover fan and he used the data from my RRS vin to correct the info for RRS's, he's gen! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
