Hi all,

Had the RRS serviced last week, brought it the few miles home from the garage and there was a slight whiff of diesel, I just thought they'd spilt some doing the filter change, how wrong was I.

Took it out yesterday and all was well until we stopped in traffic, very strong diesel smell. Open the bonnet and it's pouring out of the bottom of the filter. Some oaf has snapped the sensor in the bottom of the filter, probably by over tightening and its pouring out from there.

I'll be on to the garage when they open in the morning but am expecting minimal accountability and it will no doubt be quicker to sort the issue myself.

With that in mind does anyone have the part number for the sensor please?

unsure which engine you have but is is not a water drain on the bottom of the fuel filter?

Had exactly the same many years ago on a L320, on that vehicle you couldn't buy the sensor seperately so the MD ended up replacing the entire fuel filter housing due to their over zealous 'Techie'
