United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver
Hello

Hello I'm Malc from Crewe Cheshire I've just bought a 06 RRS HSE I would say the car is in reasonable condition but as always plenty of work to do to it. first impressions are very good from a driving point of view a lot quieter than my Discovery TD5. that I have owned for 17 years I bought it with the intention of fixing it up to replace the disco as my daily and hopefully see me out for driving this due to wanting an automatic as i'm on disability due to back problems so many parts or upgrades will have to come secondhand or reproductions
I've found so far it wants
1 New tyres soon
2 A fixed tow bar as the swan neck is missing and I won't have to get down to insert the hitch every time i want to tow the caravan,
3 The towing electrics has been disconnected
4 The central locking is not working on the fob
5 A good pressure washing underneath to clear any mud and loose scale
6 Underseal Waxoil or may try lanoguard
7 The suspension does not work it is in normal ride height all the time, if it becomes a problem or too expensive to fix I'll have it converted to coils all round.
If anyone on here lives near to Crewe and has the bits i need or can offer a hand It would be very much appreciated
Malc

Hi Malc - to save £££s just get a used tow bar attachment from ebay and leave it in place.

Regarding the other bits, try Bell Automotive in Queensferry. They do lots of underbody cleaning and waxoyling and have loads of spare wheels and tyres.

Bell will also probably have a tow bar hook as well, as they have a yard full of breakers.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I found that both of my L320 RRS towed our 2.7t twin axle horse trailer better with a Tow Trust bar than with the original removable swan neck ball. I think the original is a little low where the Tow Trust units is slightly higher. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Are they not just one of these bodykit/trim style firms, a bit like Khan, Overfinch etc. Could add a couple of photos of the exterior/interior to see if there are any differences.

Cheers
