P440e - Wind noise

Hi All - been awhile since i posted - hope everyone well.

So my MY23 P440e has the dreaded drivers door wind noise - recently had the quarter light glass replaced (per the known issue campaign bulletin) - noise still remains.

Dealer now says car needs a new windscreen - sounds extreme.

I personally think its the front door seals.

Anyone else experienced something similar ?

Thanks

I've had the same problem and had the update JLRTB02120v5 applied last week. This has made only a marginal difference I would say.

I'm not sure where to go from here... 2023 P440e Dynamic SE

Which dealer are you using?

I went to Grange in Hatfield initially who confirmed the issue but couldn't or wouldn't do anything about it.

I then went to Lookers in Bishop's Stortford who were better, but it's a pretty low bar! 2023 P440e Dynamic SE

I don’t trust Grange Hatfield even though it’s my nearest dealer.
I purchased the car and deal with Beadles Watford. Now called group 1. Contact in service is Ella MY23, 3.0 P440e PHEV AB, Carparthian Grey, Deep Garnett interior

My thoughts on Grange match yours. They’re also my nearest dealer, which makes it particularly annoying. 2023 P440e Dynamic SE

Any L461 forum has posts and posts about the wind noise and subsequent potential fixes. How is it possible LR do 1,000 KM's of testing on these new models and things like wind noise aren't picked up? Test drivers must be wearing headphones?? 2020 SVR / R.I.P. 2019 SVR / 2016 D4 Landmark / 2005 D3 HSE

I’ve added some packing foam behind the speaker trim next to the triangular window. I think this has helped a bit, although I need to do some more miles to be sure.

There’s talk on other forums of replacement windows and the like. Maybe there’s more than one thing at play here but it’s a bit frustrating that Land Rover don’t seem to be able to offer up a definitive solution. 2023 P440e Dynamic SE

They do - there is a detailed bulletin with the fix for dealers.

I know, as per my reply further up the thread, I’ve had the latest official bulletin work done but that didn’t resolve the problem. 2023 P440e Dynamic SE

My p440E back from the dealer - didn't need a new windscreen as the original one didn't crack when removed - they did a smoke test beforehand to conclude the windscreen was at fault and the area in front of the drivers side lower end corner was the culprit - I saw pics of the seal that had totally broken away between the bodywork and glass. Seal was re-applied and old windscreen replaced - noise levels much improved.

Still some noise from drivers door but I had the same levels on the courtesy Full Fat Range Rover I was given over the weekend.

Hope this helps.

That’s interesting, thanks for sharing. That’s the first time I’ve read about the seal around the windscreen possibly being the culprit. 2023 P440e Dynamic SE
