HELP Crankshaft sensor location ...2.7 l

Watched all the videos ..stripped off the heat shields in the turbo area but cannot find it or the wires leading to it .
Where do the wires come up at the top of the engine etc.
Any help appreciated. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

You need to get under the car I think

Its in an access panel behind the turbo

I gave you a link to a thread with videos and pictures. Lots of info in there so you can locate it,
Including a connector down below

In the prescribed areas in the video I can find nothing ..have it all stripped out below and on LHS ..if I could find a wire to follow it would help.

Had a reply from No Expert in the US who tells me its behind the support plate ( 2.7l) for the turbo near the exhaust to turbo flange in fact the clip securing the connector is attached to that bracket.
I think the problem is that the layout of the turbo on the 3 litre is different ..furthur to the rear and on that model its accessible between the two sections of the turbo.

Took all those heat shields out for nothing !! Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Do some research on Disco3 and the link I gave you.

It covers the 2.7 & 3.0 sensor change procedure differences

It’s been covered within the last year. Somewhere

Did you manage to see live value outputs for the cam and crank sensors? On diagnostic tool

The 2.7 had one turbo, the 3.0 had twin turbo's with associated plumbing changes which may be yor problem.,
