My P550e has had an array of electrical gremlins since this latest update. These range from wing mirrors staying dipped to the seat changing its settings. However last night when I tried to start the car I got a ‘stop safely loss of drive’ red fault and the car wouldn’t move. This then turned into ‘stop safely electrical fault detected’ as well. I called Land Rover assist and was waiting for them but after a while I locked and alarmed the car, went for a walk and when I came back the fault had cleared so I was able to drive it home.

I’ll book it in at the dealer tomorrow, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence this has happened since this latest update and searching around it seems there’s been a few other instances of this happening since the update.

4.2.1 has finally been offered up and installed on mine.

I therefore assume that N912, 4.2.0a and 4.2.0b were MY24 only, as my parents MY23 Evoque also skipped them. 2023 P440e Dynamic SE

WRT the latest software update, I noticed something new yesterday - I had a meeting on the outskirts of Aberdeen and when I left I chose to continue further into the city so that I could easily get onto my route home. As I entered the LEZ, I got a message up on the screen advising that I had entered an LEZ and that the car had switched automatically to EV mode - I don't recall that being a function of the new software, but seems like a clever use of the builtin technology.

Had no problems or loss of stored information after the 4.2.1 download.

Nothing - but I suspect that all of these changes were probably in the background, not in the `user' space.

It will come down when your vehicle is identified in the batch… usually within a few weeks of release.
