It’s definitely NOT the oven trick ! Ignore any vids etc which tell you to put MY2010 - 2013 headlights in the oven. The later facelift (andL322) lights use something similar to windscreen rubber, which doesn’t melt or soften when heated.

All sorted. The sealant is called Betaseal and doesn’t soften. I’ve used a combination of screwdrivers, scalpel and Dremmel to clean out the channel after removing the old lens.
