Coolant temperature

I never normally pay a great deal of attention to the temperature gauge aslong as it doesn’t look to be getting too high, but what position is roughly normal for the needle on the temperature gauge after a drive? I’ve got it in my head it’s usually around halfway. But after this mornings drive home from work I noticed it to be more towards the next line up from the halfway, it’s possible it’s always like that and I’m just overthinking after a 14 hour nightshift!

Should be half way indicating about 86 deg C ( thermostat 82 +4 )
Check rad water thought it does have a dash warning for low level.Fan not working ?
The best thing is a P10 Heads up display run off the OBD socket . that will read the exact temp and loads more for under £30 on ebay. Mount it by the mirror with velcro out the sun, Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

I realised adding a photo probably made it easier 😂🤦🏼‍♂️ like I said, most likely me being paranoid, I just don’t usually pay it much attention but I’ve now got it in my head it’s higher than usual

Although, I’ve just looked back in my phone and have a video from September. I’ve screenshotted it at the right time and the temp (to me) looks the same back then.

There will be slight veriations due to the temp sensor aging so you could put a new one in or just ignore it Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.
