Possible turbo issue?

Hi, hoping for some advice on my 2013 RRS 108k SDV6.
I parked the car on Wednesday evening with no issues but when I used it on Thursday afternoon she didn’t want to go much over 2000 revs! Gearchanges not very smooth at times and car misses and loses power if I try to accelerate with higher revs. Oddly no lights on dash. I managed 45 mph feathering the throttle and keeping the revs down to get her to the specialist.
He has changed the fuel filter and couldn’t get any current fault codes just historic ones. He said the car has been flashed to not store fault codes and has flashed it back to factory settings and is now getting current fault codes, I don’t know what codes as yet but he said the left bank sensor was reading way off normal, he’s fitted a new one but the air pressure is still to low. He now suspects a turbo problem either with the turbo or a stuck waste gate. He has recommended removing the body as it’s easier than spending a full day trying to get to the rear of the turbo only to possibly have to take the body off anyway. The cost to take the body off isn’t to bad, about £650, it’s the turbo price that’s worrying me! I’ve been told possibly up to £1200 each and he’s recommended doing both.
Sorry if my terminology isn’t accurate! I got 6 months warranty with the car but I’ve just found out I can only claim up to £500!
I’m not sure what rights I have with the garage I bought it from but he did say he would try and help out.
Any advice would be appreciated.

It could very well be a split inlet manifold. It's a known issue with the SDV6 and will give a loss of performance (and a red light on the dash).

As for the warranty, how long have you had the vehicle? The warranty is often used as a way of avoiding their legal obligations. Less than 30 days and you can get a full refund. Up to 6 months and it is for the dealer to show that fault was present and you should have known about it. They get one chance to fix the issue. If they can't/won't then you can ask for a refund. Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Frankly, there are plenty of RRS out there so rather than spend weeks / pounds arguing and trying to sort it, get your money back and go elsewhere. If someone has bodged this issue then what else is bodged on it? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for the prompt reply mate, it defo isn’t a split manifold and there isn’t any lights on the dash!
I’ve had the car 4 months and paid top money for the car, 13k so I would have some comeback if something like this happened.
I’ll get an estimate for the work and speak to the dealer tomorrow.
If I had to do the turbo would you do both? New or refurbished? I’m thinking it might be a stuck flap as I can’t see how a turbo can go from working to not working over night!

Have you checked for a split manifold?

If replacing turbos, I'd go for new, quality, items. Not refurbed or "ebay specials" as there have been reports of people having to do the job again after going that way. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Well I thought I’d update my turbo issue. Apparently the right turbo was knackered. I was advised to do both so it had two new turbos, gaskets and pipes. Also had one new mass sensor and a new throttle body and a as fuel filter.
Got the car back about a week ago and noticed on Saturday I’m getting about 2 or 3 seconds of blue smoke out of both exhausts on cold start up, clears straight away and dosent smoke at any other time. I’m away next week but will be returning it back to the garage that did the work to see what the problem might be. He suggested a glow plug off but I’d think that would be black smoke not blue!
He said it shouldn’t be a turbo issue as it would smoke all the time. It’s difficult to justify spending much more I’m in a bit of an impossible position.
