Steering wheel adjustment button snapped off!

Hi all - I have a 2012 Range Rover sport hse , and last night my knee caught the steering wheel adjustment button and broke it off 😡. Now I think I have found a replacement one on eBay for £15 but after having a look in the car in the daylight I have 1 question - how the hell do you get the old one out??
It lays flat against the steering column - do I have to take it all apart as it looks like a plug and play part ? Any help would be welcomed .
Thanks - Steve Bracey.

I would think you remove the column shroud, and then push it out from the rear.

As they only push in and are held in place by a couple of spring clip integrated in to the switch, and as you have already broken the switch it may be worth using something like a thin bladed screwdriver to try and pop the old one out first before removing the trim shroud, the switch is a funny shape so you might have to wiggle it a little bit to get it out. Unfortunately L/R are not renowned for allowing any excess wiring length, so might have a problem disconnecting the plug if you can get it out this way.

Cheers
Col
