France 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black
DPF warning.

Hi folks.

2015 L494 3.0 SDV6.

I've just driven around 1,500 miles from France to Cheshire and back, the trip was for the cam belts to be changed. That went well apart from being let down by an Indie in Northwich who forgot to book me in when I phoned. Luckily I found someone else to do the work.

However, the journey from Cheshire back to France was a nightmare.
I fuelled up in Congleton with Shell Vmax diesel, thinking it would be a bit better. Unfortunately, a few miles along the M6 the dash suddenly displayed a red DPF full warning and a yellow check engine lamp.
The car immediately went into restricted performance mode.
We pulled into a service station with me thinking maybe a stop and restart would work, no such luck!
We made it to Ashford last night, stayed in a hotel, then set off on the Eurotunnel with the warnings still showing.

The good news is that when we got home, I plugged in my Autel and cleared the fault lamps, all back to normal. Wish I had it with me on the trip.

I checked the soot level and it shows 9 g/m3, which seems low to me. Oil level is fine too.

So, was it the fuel? and has anyone else had that happen?

P.S. The car always get used a longish runs and very rarely short trips. Just for the record, I'm always at full motorway speed plus a bit!

Over to you guys.

Cheers. Les. 2015 RRS HSE Dynamic 3.0 SDV6

Could be that when they were doing the work they caused the battery to get a bit low and it threw a wobbly because of it. Or it could just be a good, old-fashioned, spurious error that we know LR's love to throw up now and then. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks.
No, the battery was fine as it had a good 45 minute drive after collecting it from the garage.
Spurious maybe, but it just had to be when I'd just set off on a 560 mile trip. Sods law!
Drove it again today and it's perfect.

I had an intermittent problem with a sticking throttle body. Seems not uncommon. I had a P0234 code on the reader with a yellow light that came on a couple of times and then went away. I think it clears after about three normal engine starts without the error.

The third occasion the light came on, the DPF must have been quite full already. The stuck body disables the clearing so it would have tipped over the limit and the lights went red. Fortunately I was under warranty and the LR Assistance chap replaced it and then force regenerated it. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

My wifes RRS has been fine since I cleared the warnings and is running like a dream. She has a 650 mile drive tomorrow and I'm sure it will be fine. 2015 RRS HSE Dynamic 3.0 SDV6
