Hi, I posted on here a few weeks ago how I washed the car then it wouldn’t start due to flat battery. I assumed I got my CTEC hard wired connector wet and drained the battery. Anyway I washed the car this morning and exactly the same happened. Battery low sign and start car. Car wouldn’t start and there was loads of warning lights again. I got the AA out and they diagnosed the fault as the battery. Anyway 1 hour later and £280 lighter the new battery has been fitted and all working again. The first time it did this I got the AA man out to change the battery but as I had the car on charge before he got there he couldn’t find an issue with it so it wasn’t replaced. I can only assume as I’ve been drying the car and opening the doors and boot multiple times with the side steps coming in and out it’s drained the battery. The battery was the original from new so was 8 years old so was definitely due a new one. Anyway hopefully no more issues but I’ll certainly be crossing my fingers the next time I wash the car………
