As with most things, he's right in some ways, not so correct in some, and incorrect in the rest. I would agree with him on the part where using an original manufacturer's oil pump is the correct way to go. The so-called OEM oil pump is a risky move in exchange for saving a few quid. That said, either I got a dud OEM pump or they are all cr*p. After all, why would I risk an entire (expensive) engine for a few quid? |
