United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Sumatra Black
Headunit has gone crazy

Good evening all

On my way home from work tonight my radio in my 2012 L320 Range Rover sport started playing up, the list of symptoms are as below.
1 - Radio on DAB or FM plays for a while then goes off then starts again, continues to do this in a loop?
2 - My phone tries to pair then succeeds then drops out again, again this continues in a loop?
3 - When trying to use the touch screen you can select something then before you get a chance to press the next button it reverts to the standard home screen?
I have tried the classic locking the car and leaving it for 30 mins (no joy) followed by disconnecting the battery (still no joy) and currently giving the battery a good charge just in case.
I have tried my GAP IID tool on it but it is not showing any codes except for a an old issue with the passenger door mirror.
Has anyone ever had this before and if so what was the fix and if not can they recommend somewhere to take it near to Liverpool to get it fixed?

I would pull my hair out if I wasn't bald lol.

Cheers

Ian

Do you have anything plugged in to the USB port in the arm rest? I have found that a glitch on a USB stick, for example, can throw up weird errors. Removing the USB sorted the problem.

Alternatively, check the various earthing points for tightness. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi thanks for the reply but I removed that and its still doing it. I have disconnected all the MOST connectors that I can find and they are all blinking red. Is this correct or should it be a steady light? The modules I unplugged where the amplifier, tv tuner and the DAB receiver.

Does anyone know which way they take round the most loop?

Regards

Ian
