It is possible you are describing a battery issue. If cells were severely damaged and not receiving a charge from the alternator then you could have driven it to the point where can bus etc got less than min of 5V resulting in generating faults across the whole car.

I had something very similar happen to me , it turned out the Alternator cooked itself taking the battery out with it, had both replaced and all the faults cleared that came up and it was fine afterwards, still cost me £800 all in though from a Land Rover garage.
