...and has anyone noticed how a "fast" car soon doesn't feel all that fast anymore.

Good point Smarticus. Before I embarked on my long run of BMWs I had a Carlton GSi 3000 which I thought was a fantastic car at the time (early 90s I suppose this was) - but I saw one the other day and although I thought it still looked good from the outside, internally it was very poorly trimmed.
