Faster is definately a possability - I have been in faster 4x4's

eg the almighty JEEP SRT-8 0-60mph in 5secs .... and they say when run in it will better that , it also sounds nice too, but is worse insidr even compared to the RRS and we say that is poor compared to the FFRR !

But then it only cost 40k new - fully loaded with as much kit as the supercharged all as standard

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

...and has anyone noticed how a "fast" car soon doesn't feel all that fast anymore.

When I first drove my TDv8 I thought it was as fast as I would ever want it to be. It seemed to have bucket loads more power and speed than the TDv6 I had just jumped out of. Now after 3,000 miles in the TDv8 it just feels "averagely" fast and a bit more wouldn't go amiss.

Its a fact of life that you get used to whatever you have got and easily forget about how much better it is than what you used to have. Take a trip down memory lane and get a shot in any car you used to own a few years ago. You'll be amazed at how much slower, smaller, uncomfortable, out of date, noisy, clanky, ill equipped etc etc it feels compared to what you fondly remember and compared to what you now have. Thats because (or perhaps why) car manufacturers keep raising the bar and we soon all take their latest achievements for granted and want more......

So where is Tasmods email address - time to discuss a chip I think.

(PS I have an Audi Q7 on 24 hour test today - and no I am not thinking of changing, just the dealer is a client and he is sure that once I've driven one of those I'll want it. Can't see that happeneing but got to humour him. I'll report back later) RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

I quite agree Tas
The dealers leant me one but I could not get the seat right to look through the sreen, and on the way out I banged my head on the A pillar. It seemed a bit tight because of the wrap around design.
It is a very nice engine though. Wink You don't stop playing because you get old, You get old because you stop playing.

I now own a Q7 and maybe thinking of a re map, pm me the price tasmod. Nick at turbochips has done all my previous cars.

As for the room there is more in the Q7 than the sport, roof height is more than ample for my 6 foot 2" frame. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Good point Smarticus. Before I embarked on my long run of BMWs I had a Carlton GSi 3000 which I thought was a fantastic car at the time (early 90s I suppose this was) - but I saw one the other day and although I thought it still looked good from the outside, internally it was very poorly trimmed. Showing it's age more than anything, but you're right... the general quality of cars has improved a lot since back then.
