RRS SDV6 3.0 Starts and Dies

Hi All,
RRS SDV6 3.0 2012 (2013 model) 110k miles
Car starts and dies, no error codes.
So far I have fitted new fuel filter - no luck still dies
Then I have measured pressure on Low pressure fuel pump using shredder valve on top of the engine engine and I am only getting around 2.5 psi (0.18bar) so I think this could be the issue? (Current measure ~6A while running). Also worth to mention I can barely hear the pump working (can hear it but I think is too quite if that make sense).
Any other components I can check before removing LPF pump? Question

Do I need remove tank to be able to swap pump or can I access from under the rear seats?
Do we know part number for the pump?

Thank you

If you want to remove the fuel pump (fuel) you have to drop the tank there is no access under the seat.

Fuel pump= LR042717

Thank you for replay, already replaced low pressure fuel pump last weekend still no luck... starts and dies.
Disconnected turbo hoses from intercooler same no luck, checked ecu for corrosion and water no issue there all fine, re-flashed ecu with lates software using sdd no luck. So next step will be to replace HPFP I think. Also I have discovered that my turbo is leaking oil very badly...

Hi All
Removed HPFP from RRS what a job!
Now, can anyone recommend a good place for re-conditioned pump in the UK ? Or should I get a brand new pump?
Thank you in advance!

After replacing HPFP still no luck, can not start engine.

So to summaries so far I have replaced:

1. Low pressure fuel pump
2. Fuel filter
3. High pressure Fuel Pump
4. Checked Relays for fuel pump and fuses
5. Fuel pressure sensor
6. Fuel rail pressure regulator
7. Connected external low pressure fuel pump directly to HPFP using fresh diesel
8. Disconnected dpf
9. Re-flashed tcm with SDD

And best is that there is no error codes! (SDD and Topdpn scanner)

Now, engine starts when engine 'start spray' is sprayed in to air inlet but dies when stop spraying.

Worth to add secondary? turbo (driver side UK) is covered in oil not sure if it failed or just return pipe failed.

The car was purchased for auction as non runner so it could be anything.

What would be next step I am losing this battle....

Check engine timing? Some kind of ghost type immobilizer fitted?

Please help Neutral

My BMW used to do exactly that when the camshaft position sensor was faulty. No codes either. Regards etc.,

Thanks Wojtek, I think I will start first by replacing crankshaft sensor (it looks like common problem on those engines to fail with no code?) and if that not help I will go for camshaft sensor replacement.

Thanks again,

Pozdrawiam Rafal

Hi nike_bytom, Did you get this resolved? I have the same issue and have done much of what you mentioned to no avail, Cheers, Neil
