Front drivers side 6 pot brembo query

Question guys, I have just exchanged my 6 pot brembo calipers with refurbished ssl specialists in Wakefield, I have noticed the drivers side has 2 holes with threads next to the pins for the fitting kit please see picture, Not sure what these holes are for can anyone advise and why doesnt the nearside calliper have the same holes? My worry is are these 2 not the same and if this will be an issue? The ones i exchanged didnt have these screw holes i remember that.

I think you may find one is possibly a L320, the other is a L494 as the L494 also had a cooling duct shield of some sort bolted to the calliper as well that the L320 didn't, although they could both be L494. Wouldn't think it would really make any difference to the calliper.

Yes i dont think it will make i difference they both look the same but obviously of different vehicles, Mine had the covers over the abs sensor which i kept and refitted, Just dont know these screw holes on front are for something different and would like to find out.

Can now see that shield I pictured goes in a completely different position on the calliper.

Yes mate, It goes into the back of the caliper which is over the top of the abs sensor, I have fitted 2 of these as they still fit on l320 and thought the extra protection cant hurt, Just them screws on front are for something else?

Could be way off the mark, but had a vague recollection of carbon fibre air ducts on the SVR's callipers at one point, so wondered if that could be it and one could be a SVR calliper. They may look the business, but I don't think I would bother fitting them as they retail at the best part of £1000.00 new from L/R, and yes that is the right number of noughts. Rolling with laughter

Wow, Not seen that before but thats it, Thanks Col. Strange how they have 2 different callipers. You would expect them to tell you aswell but apart from them screw holes they do look same and they did me a good deal for exchange so im happy with the service and product. Would look silly one side with the cover and one without but yeah thats alot of money for what it is 😂
