PCM standard mapping?

Have had this car over a year now and its recurring fault is P000E-00[2F)
This appears again and again after clearing , either it a fault of a component or it does not handle a remap, the car had this long before I purchased it . I only know this because I have the invoice , it looks like an LR remap for economy (that's a laugh) and performance . I believe 25-30 is more normal , not 19-22.I am thinking, will the Gap tool change this mapping to standard on an ecu flash . At least that will give me an idea if this Fuel Volume regulator is really at fault or the mapping.
By the way I haven't a clue where this fuel Volume regulator is situated up to date .(v8 Diesal)

Can anyone help in anyway at all please.

I stand to be corrected, but I think you may find the fuel volume regulator is a integral part of the HP fuel pump and not a serviceable item on it's own.

There are some dodgy so called re-maps out there, I think I would get the map removed and revert to standard and go from there, certainly never saw 30mpg on my old TDV8 with 40k on the clock when I sold it, would say at best average 25mph according to the dash lie-o-meter.

Cheers
Col

As far as the regulator whereabouts , I have heard or read more likely that this is the case, on the pump .This pushes me to the standard mapping if Gap can do this it’s worth a try. I think an email to them is worth it. thanks.
