Hi I’ve got a 2015 RRS Diesel V6 and I have had this great car for 6 years and have no plans on changing anytime soon. I have never kept a car longer than 2 years before this one so that speaks volumes…… |

You say a large suv........I recently bought a 2006 4.2 sc for the wife to replace her D3. Ulez extension crap. Upshot is it's to small in every respect.

The RRS does seem to be a lot smaller inside compared to FFRR, the L322 i had before was bigger enough to sleep in the back with the seats folded down...as big as. that's why they're a lot less on the pocket. |

I’d go with 2016 on as it has some useful updates and is Ulez compliant

The advice I was given was to avoid the V6 & go for the V8 , purchased my TDV8 just over 3 years ago & it's been great, also avoid main dealerships for servicing/repairs find yourself a recommended independent. Turbos thrive on clean oil so ensure regular services have been carried out. |

The RRS and the Disco cater to entirely different sectors. The Disco is a 7-seat load lugger and the extra inches in the wheelbase does pay off handsomely for that. The RRS isn't. Having said that, mine does plenty of load lugging - drop the rear seats and I can fit two bulk bags in it for a tip run, for example. And it goes along a twisty road better than the Disco, too. The latter L494 model is the same wheelbase as the Full Fat and so is better for rear seat space. It's also a longer wheelbase than the D3 / D4 (same wheelbase as the ugly D5). The L494 is a much better steer than any of the others, if you like to enjoy a twisty road. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

All of those and you still don't have the right engine - TDV8. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
