He has 2 petrol V8's. One supercharged. Sounds like the right engine to me

Nah, the only petrol worth having is the 5.0SC. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

He's got a driveway full of Land Rovers. I don't think reliability is the most important consideration...
