EPB repair path

So looked at various and many threads on EPB faults.

The code is U2002-01(BCool The mechanism has been working fine , but since being in off road mode and starting the car the next morning and dropping it to normal , the red P blinks along with amber brake warning . I never used the parking brake overnight.. Where can I start please, the epb switch does not operate now, I have 11.45 plus v on green yellow (I will confirm this) on switch plug and lower volts on another, will confirm this also.
Do I remove the spare wheel to get at the multi plug I see from below and test at that end , I don't know where the cable is from the tunnel underneath. Does this go to a multitude of wires lying on the rear left chassis perhaps just to left of the spare wheel?

I just need some pointers please.

11.45V seems rather low. I'd start by charging the battery. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The battery is good . Its showing over 12.30 and 14v engine running.

Could be a bit of resistance from junction to switch though.

I will test while engine running.

Ok I'll check this , but I haverun the car back and forth with it showing 14v and above and its not doing much difference for brake function.

Testing wires with engine running and showing 14v at the dash with GAP IId connected. The wires on the park sw. plug connected are Y 6.33v, YB 10.95v , YG 6.47v, and Red 5.5mv. Earth black 0.0 ohms.
So from that I expect a high resistance if those voltages are incorrect.
If I drop the spare wheel to get access and buzz out the connector on the rear nearside chassis back to PB switch is that where the PB wiring meets up before the connections to the module?

Well a quick search on disco3 for that fault code U2002-01 suggests you need a new dash park brake switch !

Got to be easier than getting under the car

£40 on eBay

I’m not sure if the contacts inside are like a tv remote control and can be cleaned with ipa or aftershave

I reckon the previous voltages are from a can bus so will be lower.
I will buzz out the lines to and from the switch and module.
Watch this space.

Aha , seems that the red wire I found earlier was on MV.,(see earlier thread) was the culprit , it was the only one showing open circuit. Spotted a white spot further off the plug about 5 inches from the plug and yes corrosion, soldered and reconnected, hand brake working ......Get On ! Ordered some heat shrink to protect the joint and bingo , fingers crossed.
