United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Sumatra Black
EPB Park Brake Sqeal.

Hi guys,
My 2007 RR Sport has started occasionally squealing when the park brake is applied. Doesn’t do it all the time, had the same problem about 4 years ago but then it went completely and brake wouldn’t release but we had the garage repair it. Cash is really tight for us right now so will be having a go myself to save some money. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to start please? I understand it is an adjustment problem but am not sure if the fault is in the module under the car or in the actual brake shoe assemblies? Much obliged folks.

Just to close this thread, I’ve fitted new handbrake shoes, new discs and pads adjusted handbrake as per the guide and all seems well. Thanks again for your help.
