Common problem, usually the bonnet switch. A quick fix is to join the 2 wires together. |

Oh my I think you have something here. I’ve only had the car just under a week however I keep getting error of low battery but I’ve taken it to Halfords and it’s 97% efficiency and also dealer said it was a fairly new battery. Maybe because it’s not been used much and say on forecourt ? I’m going Blackpool in morning so maybe that will give it a good run and charge ? Alan |

You don't have a Aux battery on a RRS1 L320. BMS battery monitoring system, basicaly it keeps a eye on the battery charge state, if the charge level drops it start to shutdown various circuits so you have enough charge to start the vehicle in theory. Don't get to excited about it as they periodically self calibrate anyway, mine has thrown up low battery occasionally since day one nearly 10 years and never failed to start, one thing I would suggest assuming it is practical to connect it depending where you park is buy a Ctek charger, especially if you do not use the vehicle for several day's at a time.

Bent paper clip and bridge out the connector temporarily to check if that is the issue, if you do a search on the forum there have been a few post's about it.

Do you have the interior sonic sensors for the alarm? Mine seem to be aggressively sensitive and pick up the dash expanding. In the summer I’ll run the A/C so the interior is nice and cold, park in the sun and 10-15 minutes later the alarm will go off without anything happening other than the car heating up in the sun. Same on colder mornings when my park heater kicks on and the dash starts getting warm. Mine has done this maybe ten times over the last year and typically occurs with the inside hot or cold and the outside temps are the opposite. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

My Disco had a lazy seat belt, and when it finally decided to fully retract, it was enough to set the alarm off.
