175/ 80 R19 spare tyre pressure
Hi All,
Been checking the tyre pressure of the spare and note on the side it says 60psi. Can I check if this is correct? 60psi seems quite high given the actual road wheels are around 36psi.
As always, thanks in advance for your help & advice.

60psi is correct...its to do with the smaller width and the weight it has to contend with...
i believe the current trend in new cycle tyres is around the same psi..

Thanks for the response.
I know cyclists do use higher pressures, particularly those involved in competitive road racing, as it reduces the amount of tyre in contact with the road as, as a result, reduces drag; but 60psi just seemed a bit high when I read it. I got to 44psi and bottled it!!!
