The car still has the original air compressor installed and I'm having issues putting it into access mode. Have been quoted £682 + vat for a replacement compressor and air pipes.

Car is also not the best when going around corners and bumps. Was told that the front suspension arms and front anti-roll bar bushes: £854 + vat - I've been warned that the hours of labour can vary here as the anti-roll bar bolts can be quite difficult to remove.

Rear upper arm, hub bush: £340 + vat

4 Wheel alignment = £65 + vat

The total would be £1941 + vat (this is also including labour)

Does this sound fair?

Hi Josh, yes I’m afraid so those figures sound about right to me. I’ve had some of those jobs done before. Would be interested on what make of bushes they’re intending to fit and also the alignment (is it Hunter or not)?. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

LR have a special tool to do the front ARB bushes as I understand there's not much room (not entirely surprising) to get a spanner on them.

That's one that's needed. There is a 2nd too

There are actually two very similar specials tools required for the front roll bars not just the one, although I do not know if you can get away with just the one. When I did my front lower arms I was going to do the ARB bushes at the same time, I bought a pair of the tools and my intention was to replace the bushes and sell the tools on to recoup some of the money, as these bushes are a quite common issue I'm sure there would be no problem moving them on if anyone wished to do it that way. They do appear to have gone up in price a bit since I bought them though. Mine are still laid in the garage along with the bushes collecting dust as bushes didn't need doing.

Did wonder if they meant the front lower arm bolts as they are a bit prone to rusting solid as well and need cutting off.
