Hi guys,
Managed to track down which pipe is actually leaking (they’re all quite badly corroded) and it’s the reservoir return line where it kinks just over the tie rod. Question is, (as a temporary fix til funds are available to do it properly with all new lines) with it being a reservoir return line I’m thinking the pressure will be quite low, can I cut the line off just prior to the leak and fit some hydraulic hosing and secure with jubilee clips or is this destined for immediate failure? Just wondering if anyone has tried this and if it worked? Thanks guys.
I’ve tried catch it in this photo and circled the leaking area in red.

Have a look at this post .might help in long term . These hose places are in all the main towns....I am certain you could bypass it if its a return line
