Definitely Purple/Orange on the wiring diagram I looked at, not Pink (PK) I don't think. What colour wire do you have at Pin No. 23 on connector C0580 at the CJB ? as a later diagram mentions Red/Orange but that may be facelift car.

Not a auto electrician and always thought the horn relay was built into the CJB for some reason, but looking at this wiring diagram it looks like it is actually a separate relay in the engine bay fuse box, R5 top left by the bulkhead assume would be same on a left hooker but not sure + fuse no.25 so might be worth checking out, or with the aid of wiring diagram rewire some how, only a suggestion as said not a auto electrician.

I found a relay for the horn inside the fuse box in the engine compartment. I was able to test the horn, fuse except for the relay and the clock spring. This is how the relay looks like:

Have you checked at the C2240R/C2238R plug/connector for a feed from the clockspring? look like a Green/Brown wire, could you also substitute the relay with one of the others to test that, as I'm sure one of them will be the same at least.

The diagram is blurred could not really read the letters and numbers, but I will try and research. I do not think the relay is bad because the horns chirp when the car alarms. 1973 Clubman GT * 2013 MB C250 * 2013 BMW X1 * 2013 RRS HSE Luxury * 2016 Mazda MX5 |

View the diagram in "my gallery" you can enlarge it then, are you sure it is the horn's "chirping" and not the alarm sounder by the abs pump/master cylinder/servo?

after using the car the radio control buttons on the steering wheel also do not work in addition to the horn. Could this indicate that the part at fault is the clock spring?
