Hi, I've been offered a set of winter tyres at 265 45 20, the current tyre size are 275 40 20, would there be an issue with minor size change? These are for my "winter" wheels so only in use for approx 4-5 months a year.

I run 275/45/20’s on both my summer and winter tyres to combat the poor road conditions up here and save on punctures. And so far so good. Also a bit quieter. The 265/45/20 should be fine, and may actually improve grip in snow due to their narrower size, but the narrower tyre may not be suitable for the width of the actual wheel - best check on tyresizecalculator.com or similar. You can hear the knocking at the rear better |

Thanks for your comments, I've gone with the 265's so now just to get them on the rims. |
